Today I got to model for Diane Kennedy and Cherry Velvet! It was so much fun. We were shooting at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver, B.C. It was a gorgeous day and the location was beautiful! Many more photos to come…
Tonight me and my hubby are going out to celebrate our third wedding anniversary. It’s not technically the day (actual anniversary is August 26th) but when Grandma offers to babysit, you take advantage of it! I’m wearing a blue Diane Kennedy t-shirt, black jeans from Winners, and a Very Valero necklace.
These jeans were such a steal! I found them for $11 at Winner’s but they had these awful big, blingy rhinestones on all the pockets and buttons. I took them to my dry cleaner who also does alterations and she ripped them all off and added just one big black button. The alterations cost $10 but it was worth it because I love the fit of these jeans.
I actually started dating my husband when I was 15 years old and in grade 10! It’s freaky but true. We grew up as neighbours on the same street in a small B.C. town and I was totally obsessed with him right from the start.
Tonight we are baby free and have some gift certificates to The Keg which have been patiently waiting to be used. Nom nom nom doesn’t steak taste even better when you aren’t paying for it?
Fashion designer, Diane Kennedy, of Cherry Velvet dresses is on her way to the Vegas WWIN show! She’ll be at booth #634 so if you are in the area you should totally go check it out.
In this photo I am wearing her Cherry Velvet Priscilla dress which is obviously PERFECT for Vegas!
Good luck Diane and have fun! xo

Today I wore a plain t-shirt dress from H&M, a suede jacket from Le Chateau and rather than my pearls I’ve been wearing these pink chewbeads.
I love the chewbeads because they are cute, pink and safe for my baby girl to gnaw on.
I also really love this H&M dress. It was super cheap too! However, if your a Mama like me…it’s a bit short for running around with a baby. I’m pretty sure most of the Winners parking lot saw my ass as I buckled my girl into her car seat.
Today was so much fun! Diane Kennedy who designs Cherry Velvet dresses invited me back to model. Shimona Henry of Pin-up Perfection Photography was taking & directing the shots and Stela Licina did my amazing hair and make up. Christine Barham was there hanging out too! Both Stela and Christine have modelled for Diane as well.
Shimona’s new studio is so awesome! When I first met her a couple years ago she was working out of an extremely tiny, tiny space on East Hastings in downtown Vancouver. I’m talking small people!! Since then she’s had a few different locations but for the next two years she’ll be settled into her new spot. The new location is set up in the basement of her house. There’s plenty of room for wardrobe, make up, Shimona’s office, props and backdrops.
I truly love working with ladies. It’s a fun and collaborative experience and I definitely enjoy dressing up every now and then- especially since I became a Mom!
Here are a few behind the scenes selfies I took today. The actual shots will be on here eventually.
A few weeks ago I was luckily enough to model for my favourite clothing company, Cherry Velvet. I’ve been modelling for the designer, Diane Kennedy, for sometime now. I even worked for her in Sales & Marketing before I had my baby.
It was so fun to get out of Mommy Mode and play dress up. The dress I am wearing will be available in approximately 6 weeks.
Here is another shot of me, Stela Licina, and Sarah Jayne Stone.
I had a really good time working with these girls. Stela also did my hair & make up and Ruth Ordare was there too!!
